Where this guide gets its answers
The facts in this guide come from the public records named below, so you can check them yourself. Each chapter also lists its own records at the bottom.
PRIMARY RECORD
A statute, regulator page, approved label, licence search, or government guidance.
SALES CLAIM
A page written to persuade a reader to purchase a service or product.
These records can confirm what a sales page only claims.
Federal records
FDA’s approved-drug records answer whether a finished drug has an approved application.
FDA’s compounding pages explain the two compounding paths and the limits of approval claims.
FDA warning letters show which online sellers of research products FDA has accused of breaking drug law. A letter is an accusation at one point in time, not a court ruling, but it shows the warning signs FDA looks for.
Virginia records
The Code of Virginia supplies the prescribing and pharmacy rules used here.
The Department of Health Professions supplies licence and public discipline records.
Virginia Board of Medicine guidance supplies the state’s telemedicine expectations.
How to read dates
Legal-status statements in this guide are stated as of September 2026.
Prices and programme terms can change faster than the underlying explanations, so a current quote still belongs in the final comparison.
